• Avoid retinoids, strong exfoliating acids and scrubs for approximately one week before treatment.

• Avoid tanning and excessive sun exposure before your appointment.

• Do not remove hair from the treatment area for two days beforehand.

• Please tell us about any medications, skin conditions, allergies, cold sores or tendency to develop raised scars.

• Do not stop prescribed medication, blood thinners or supplements unless advised by a healthcare professional.

• If your skin is irritated, sunburned or has an active infection, please contact us before your appointment.

• Stop taking omega-3 supplements one week before treatment, as recommended in the treatment protocol. If you use an omega-3 product on the advice of a healthcare professional, check with them before pausing it.

After microneedling, the skin may feel warm, tight or tender. Temporary redness, mild swelling, dryness or flaking may also occur. These reactions usually settle gradually within a few days.

• Avoid makeup and strong skincare products on the day of treatment.
• Use gentle cleansing, a simple moisturiser and daily sun protection.
• Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids and scrubs until the skin has recovered.
• Avoid sauna, swimming, strenuous exercise and excessive sweating for 24–48 hours.
• Protect the treated area from direct sunlight and follow the individual aftercare instructions provided by your cosmetologist.

Contact us if you are concerned about your skin's recovery. Seek medical advice if you experience blistering, signs of infection, worsening pain or unusually prolonged swelling.

Microneedling is not performed if:

• The treatment area has an active infection, open wound, active herpes outbreak or significant inflammation
• The skin is sunburned or severely irritated
• There are fresh scars in the treatment area
• You are pregnant or breastfeeding
• You are undergoing cancer treatment
• You have poorly controlled diabetes or another condition that may impair wound healing

Please contact us before booking if you use blood-thinning medication, have a history of raised or keloid scars, an immune-related condition, or have recently received injectable or other aesthetic treatments. Suitability is always assessed individually.

The skin's renewal process develops gradually after microneedling, so results are not immediate. The skin may continue to change over the following weeks.

For more noticeable and progressive results, we commonly recommend a series of three treatments at approximately four-week intervals. The number and timing of treatments are always adjusted according to your skin, treatment goals and recovery.

Individual results vary, and maintenance treatments can be planned when needed.
